Gwatidzo and Baye Inspire Dynamos and MWOS on PSL Matchday 15

Saturday’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 15 delivered standout individual performances at both ends of the pitch, with Dynamos winger Abel Gwatidzo and MWOS goalkeeper Tedious Baye earning LuckyBets Player of the Match honours for their respective sides.
At Rufaro Stadium, Dynamos produced a spirited comeback to defeat Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1, ending the visitors’ long unbeaten run in the process. The Glamour Boys were forced to recover from an early setback after Praise Muchengete put Ngezi ahead in the sixth minute with a well-taken header from a corner.
Despite the early pressure, Dynamos gradually found their rhythm, with Gwatidzo emerging as their main attacking threat. The winger came close in the 20th minute with a dangerous low cross before eventually levelling matters in the 28th minute.
Following a quick attacking move involving Leeroy Mavhunga and Frank Agyemang, Gwatidzo received the ball inside the penalty area and fired a powerful effort into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and energising the home crowd.
Ngezi responded with increased possession in the second half but struggled to break down a disciplined Dynamos defence. The decisive moment came in the 70th minute when Moses Demera converted from close range after being set up by Tellmore Pio to complete the comeback.
Although Demera scored the winner, Gwatidzo’s overall influence, creativity and decisive equaliser earned him the LuckyBets Player of the Match award as Dynamos secured a valuable three points.
At MWOS Ngoni Stadium, MWOS FC and Hardrock FC played out a tense 0-0 draw in a match defined by strong defensive organisation and goalkeeping excellence.
Hardrock started brightly, creating early chances, including a clear opportunity in the opening minutes when Arthur Banda broke through on goal but failed to convert. MWOS responded with disciplined defending, with Reginald Chinemo and Valentine Katsande playing key roles at the back.
However, the standout performer was goalkeeper Tedious Baye, who produced a series of crucial saves to keep MWOS in the match. His most notable intervention came in the first half when he produced a brilliant point-blank save to deny Hardrock a certain goal.
In the second half, Baye continued his fine form, tipping a powerful effort over the crossbar with a superb fingertip save, before showing resilience after briefly receiving medical attention following a knock.
His command of the penalty area, composure under pressure and consistency throughout the match ensured MWOS secured a valuable point.
The performance marked Baye’s second consecutive LuckyBets Player of the Match award, following his outstanding display in MWOS’ 2-0 victory over Triangle United last weekend.
Saturday’s results underlined the growing influence of individual match-winners in the PSL, with both Gwatidzo and Baye delivering decisive performances for their teams on Matchday 15.
