2026 FIFA World Cup: 19 Teams Confirmed for Round of 32 as Knockout Picture Takes Shape

The list of teams qualified for the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has expanded to 19 following the latest round of group-stage matches, with several nations already sealing their places in the knockout phase.

Among the confirmed qualifiers are hosts Mexico and the United States, alongside global heavyweights Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, all of whom have safely progressed from the group stage.

African representation has also grown strongly, with South Africa, Morocco, and Côte d’Ivoire among the teams to have secured their spots in the last 32, marking significant progress for the continent in the expanded tournament format.

Other nations to have booked their places include Norway, Colombia, Switzerland, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, Japan, Sweden, and Australia, completing a diverse early list of qualified teams.
