Highlanders Football Club have confirmed the departure of midfielder Shepherd Mhlanga, who has left the club after spending the 2026 season with Bosso on loan from FC Platinum.

Mhlanga joined Highlanders at the beginning of the 2026 campaign as part of the club’s squad reinforcement plans and went on to contribute to the men’s first team during his time at Barbourfields Stadium.

In an official club update, Highlanders thanked the midfielder for his professionalism, hard work and dedication throughout his spell with the Bulawayo giants.

“His contribution to the men’s first team squad was highly valued,” the club said, while wishing him the best in his future football endeavours.

The departure brings an end to Mhlanga’s loan spell with the Centenary club as he returns to his parent club, FC Platinum.

Highlanders continue preparations for the remainder of the 2026 season as they look to build a competitive squad and achieve their targets.
