Zimbabwe Cricket has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against India, with the selectors making three changes to the team that recently faced Bangladesh in Bulawayo.

The Chevrons will host India at Harare Sports Club on 23, 25 and 26 July 2026 as they prepare for a challenging series against the reigning ICC Men’s T20 World Cup champions.

The squad has been boosted by the return of all-rounder Wessly Madhevere, who comes back into the national setup after missing the Bangladesh T20I series. His return adds valuable depth to Zimbabwe’s batting and bowling options as the team looks to compete against a strong Indian side.

Fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri has also been recalled after recovering from the injury concern that forced him out of the Bangladesh series. His return gives Zimbabwe another pace option alongside the experienced bowling group already selected.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga has earned his first T20 International selection. The call-up marks an important milestone in his career and gives him an opportunity to make his mark at the highest level.

The three players replace Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa and Tashinga Musekiwa, who have not been included in the squad for the India series.

Tanaka Chivanga keeps his place after being drafted into the squad as Nyamhuri’s replacement during the Bangladesh T20I series.

Captain Sikandar Raza will once again lead Zimbabwe as the team aims to produce a competitive performance against India. Raza enters the series as Zimbabwe’s most-capped international player after surpassing former captain Hamilton Masakadza’s record with 314 appearances across Tests, ODIs and T20Is.

Zimbabwe go into the series having experienced mixed results during their recent home campaign. The Chevrons produced a historic innings victory in the one-off Test against Bangladesh and went on to win the ODI series 2-1 in Harare.

However, Bangladesh fought back in the shortest format, winning the T20I series 2-1 in Bulawayo.

The India series will provide Zimbabwe with another opportunity to measure themselves against top-level opposition and continue developing their squad. With a combination of experienced players and emerging talent, the Chevrons will be hoping to make home advantage count at Harare Sports Club.

Zimbabwe squad for T20I series against India:

Sikandar Raza (Captain), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Tanaka Chivanga, Ben Curran, Brad Evans, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Milton Shumba, Tafadzwa Tsiga.
