SCOTTLAND FC PLAYERS EARN US$5K BONUS AFTER FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WIN MOVES THEM TOP OF THE PSL TABLE
Scottland FC players are set to receive a US$5,000 bonus each after their impressive 3-0 victory over Triangle United secured their fourth consecutive win and moved them to the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League standings after Matchday 17.
The victory confirmed Scottland’s strong run of form as they continued to build momentum in the title race, taking full advantage of dropped points elsewhere in the league.
Scottland were boosted early in the match when Triangle United were reduced to 10 men in the 18th minute after Enock Karembo was shown a straight red card for denying Khama Billiat a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Despite the numerical advantage, Scottland had to wait until the 42nd minute to break the deadlock. Knowledge Musona reacted quickly inside the box after a defensive error and calmly slotted home to give Scottland a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
The second half saw Scottland continue to control the game, and they doubled their lead in the 71st minute through Khama Billiat.
The forward finished a well-weighted pass from Msebe with composure to make it 2-0. The goal marked Billiat’s 5th goal of the 2026 PSL season.
Scottland completed the scoring in the 90th minute when Issaka Muhammad added the third goal, sealing a dominant 3-0 win and confirming their place at the summit of the table.
The result means Scottland have now recorded four consecutive league victories, a run that has pushed them ahead in the PSL title race. With rivals slipping up elsewhere, Scottland capitalised fully to move top of the standings on 34 points.
The club’s reward system meant players would only receive the US$5,000 bonus if they finished Matchday 17 at the top of the table- a target they successfully completed.
Elsewhere in the PSL, Highlanders secured a 1-0 victory over Agama FC, adding another important result in the Matchday 17 fixtures.
With confidence high and key players stepping up at crucial moments, Scottland now head into the next round of fixtures as league leaders and serious title contenders.
