Scottland FC are continuing to show their ambition of building a strong squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, with Brazilian forward Anderson Canhoto linked with a possible move to the Mabvuku-based side.
The 29-year-old attacker was spotted at Rufaro Stadium during Scottlandโs 2-0 victory over TelOne in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, fuelling speculation that he could become the latest addition to the clubโs growing squad.
Canhotoโs presence comes at a time when Scottland are focused on strengthening their team as they prepare for their maiden CAF Champions League campaign after making history in Zimbabwean football.
The Mabvuku side have enjoyed an impressive rise and are currently leading the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League standings, but the clubโs ambitions extend beyond domestic success.
With continental football on the horizon, Scottland are looking to assemble a squad with enough quality, experience and depth to compete against some of Africaโs top clubs.
The possible arrival of Canhoto would add another attacking option to a team that has already shown its competitiveness in the PSL. The Brazilian forward brings international experience and could provide additional creativity and firepower in the final third.
Scottlandโs management has made it clear through their recruitment strategy that they want to build a team capable of challenging at the highest level, while also maintaining their dominance in the domestic league.
The clubโs supporters will now be watching closely as Scottland continue their preparations for the second half of the season and their historic CAF Champions League adventure.
