Ryan Burl, Madhevere Headline Zimbabwe A Squads for Bangladesh Tour

Zimbabwe A Squads Named for Crucial Bangladesh Tour
Zimbabwe Cricket has announced the Zimbabwe A squads for next month’s tour of Bangladesh, selecting a strong blend of experienced internationals and emerging talent for what is expected to be an important assignment ahead of a busy international season.
The tour will consist of three One-Day matches and two Four-Day matches against Bangladesh A, providing players with a valuable opportunity to impress and push for national team selection.
Among the notable names included in the squads are Ryan Burl, Wessly Madhevere, Innocent Kaia, Tadiwanashe Marumani and Vincent Masekesa, while several promising youngsters have also been handed an opportunity to showcase their abilities on the international stage.
Zimbabwe A head coach Justin Sammons believes the tour comes at the perfect time as preparations continue for Bangladesh’s upcoming senior tour of Zimbabwe.
“Preparations started three weeks ago as we headed into a sort of pre-season camp with a large group of players, around 35 players, both A side and national side players,” said Sammons.
“The guys have put in a good shift and I’m really happy with how that progressed over the three weeks.
“Eight-team guys have been practising and will be heading off to Bangladesh.
“This is great because it gives them valuable experience and exposure as we continue our preparations for Bangladesh.”
The tour begins with the One-Day series, with matches scheduled for June 8 and June 10 at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura before the final match takes place at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on June 13.
Attention will then shift to red-ball cricket, with two Four-Day matches set for the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from June 17-20 and June 24-27.
The assignment also forms part of Zimbabwe’s preparations for Bangladesh’s senior tour later this month, which will include a Test match, three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.
