Ibrahima Konaté to Leave Liverpool FC at End of Contract

Liverpool FC have confirmed that Ibrahima Konaté will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer, bringing his five-year spell at Anfield to a close.
The French centre-back, who joined the Reds from RB Leipzig in 2021, will officially depart the club at the end of June after making 183 appearances and scoring seven goals across all competitions.
During his time at Liverpool, Konaté played a key role in a successful period for the club, contributing to major trophy wins including the Premier League title in the 2024-25 season, FA Cup success, two Carabao Cup triumphs, and a Community Shield victory.
The defender leaves Anfield with a winner’s medal from Liverpool’s latest league title campaign and is widely recognised for his consistency and defensive strength during his spell at the club.
Liverpool expressed gratitude for his contribution, acknowledging his role in the team’s success and wishing him well in the next stage of his career.
Konaté’s departure marks the end of an important chapter at Anfield, as the club prepares for changes ahead of the new season.
