Zimbabwe’s Under-17 boys have been drawn against Zambia and Eswatini in Group C of the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifiers.

The tournament will take place in Maputo, Mozambique, from 4 to 13 December 2026 as part of the Region 5 Games, with nine nations competing for regional honours and qualification for next year’s continental finals in Morocco.

The Young Warriors will be hoping to make progress this time after failing to advance beyond the group stage at the previous edition, which was hosted in Zimbabwe in September 2025.

Their group includes Zambia, who will be seeking to reclaim the title they last won in 2024, and Eswatini. Zimbabwe will need a strong campaign to secure one of the three qualifying places available for the continental finals.

Hosts Mozambique headline Group A alongside Angola and Lesotho, while defending champions South Africa have been placed in Group B with Botswana and Malawi.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s Under-17 girls have also discovered their opponents for the COSAFA Championship.

The Young Mighty Warriors have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Mozambique and Angola.
