Zimbabwe Sables Set for Busy June–July Schedule Ahead of Nations Cup USA Campaign

The Zimbabwe national rugby team, the Sables, are set for a packed international programme during June and July 2026, featuring high-performance training camps, key test matches, and participation in the Nations Cup in the United States.
The schedule forms part of Zimbabwe Rugby’s continued preparation and development strategy as the team builds towards competitive international fixtures and strengthens squad depth ahead of major tournaments.
The Sables will kick off their programme with a four-day training camp at the Blue Bulls setup from 27–30 May 2026. The camp is expected to focus on physical conditioning, tactical structure, and team cohesion in a high-performance environment.
Following that, Zimbabwe will take part in a SAS training camp scheduled for 8–13 June 2026, where the Sables will train alongside the South Africa U20 side. The sessions are expected to provide intense preparation and exposure to elite international development standards.
Zimbabwe will then step into international action on 20 June 2026 when they face South Africa A in a highly anticipated test match. The fixture will serve as an important benchmark for the Sables as they measure their progress against strong regional opposition.
After the test match, the Sables will depart for the United States on 28 June 2026 to take part in the Nations Cup tournament, a major international competition featuring strong teams from across the rugby world.
Zimbabwe have been drawn into a challenging group, with fixtures scheduled against Tonga on 4 July, the United States on 11 July, and Canada on 18 July 2026.
The busy schedule reflects Zimbabwe Rugby’s ambition to keep the Sables active in high-level competition while developing a more competitive and experienced squad on the international stage.
With a combination of structured training camps and tough international fixtures, the Sables will be aiming to build momentum, improve performances, and make a strong impact at the Nations Cup in the USA.
